Delicious Jelly Rolls
Last week I made my first quilt which Mum has just sent off to be quilted for me..... isn't it beautiful?
I used a Jelly roll of Soiree' fabric that I conned Mum into buying for me at a quilt show a long time ago but wasn't sure what to do with it. I ended up using the Stacked Coin Quilt tutorial from the Moda Bake Shop. The pattern was very easy and I loved using the Jelly roll because it was much easier for me to cut by myself.

Ginger Nuts For Grandpa
It was Grandpa's birthday yesterday and he absolutely loves ginger. So I made him a batch of ginger nut biscuits........... they were so nice. I got the recipe from the Women's Weekly cookbook 'sweet old fashioned favourites'
2. Use a dessert spoon to roll the mixture into even balls, place on a well greased baking tray about 5cm apart; flatten slightly with a fork.
3. Bake in moderate oven for about 12 minutes or until golden brown; cool on trays.
Makes about 24.
