Paper flowers

Today I made some paper card and present decorations! I think they turned out pretty good (for a first try!)

 This present is for my Bestie's little sister, who turns 4 today!



I think this one is my favorite... I like the double buttons!

I also think they would look great in christmas colours! You should give them a try. They are very simple to make!

rainbow shaggy quilt

Last week I made a shaggy quilt. I cut out most of the pieces and sewed them together in one day, then put the bind on in three days! I was pretty pleased with mysef...... I can tell you that!

I got the colour ideas from Kerry at Willow Grove Quilting.

Kerry has a picture of her's in her blog header! Thats how I found it! The bright colours just caught my eye!

It also won first prise at the town show! I was so happy!

My first ever garment (even if it is only a size 0)

Today I made a dress, for my cousin Marlie...... I'm going to put it in the show before I give it to her though. So it may even be a prize winning prezzie! Take a look!

It's so tiny! I can't believe she is actually that small! Even though it's only a size 0 it's still a garment! So I can tick that catagory off my list!

Stan the Snowman!

Today I finally finished Stan the Snowman (thats Sir Snowflake, I just liked stan better.) I've been putting off finishing him because I thought I'd mucked him up, but apparently I didn't. So here he is!

And here is a close up of his cute little face!

He didn't take long to make (if you don't count the time where he sat in my cupboard with no face.... LOL!)

Yay! I finally finished it!

Hey everyone, been a bit (or even a lot) slack lately! (I kind of discovered my sketch book and pencils again!) I haven't done any sewing or even cooking! How embarrassing is that?! However, yesterday I finished a pillow that has been in the making for....... a while. I did the middle applique piece TWO YEARS AGO. And finally here it is!

And it even matches the quilt I made! Cute, don't you think?

I am extremely happy to have finished it! and to think I waited TWO YEARS! It was done in just over 30 minutes! Good gracious!

Now, today I am (with a little help from mum) making "Sir Snowflake" From natalie Ross' "Get red red ready for christmas"

Last night I made prawn cocktails for dinner and the were SOOOOOO YUM!

they were really easy to make! We cooked the prawns and made our own sauce and everything (even my fussy little brother ate them!)
